Meet Penelope Cobbold, an accomplished real estate agent specialising in luxury, designer, contemporary, and eclectic houses. With a knack for finding unique properties, Penelope manages a diverse portfolio of long and short-term rentals. Her expertise also extends to sourcing location houses for filming and events, offering private residences for weddings, private parties, corporate and product launches.
Beyond her successful real estate career, Penelope is a passionate horse breeder. With a lifetime love of horses she has bred numerous champion ponies in the show ring. Additionally, she is the proud owner of several dressage horses, competing at the highest level, including participation on the NSW High Performance Squad and Grand Prix level dressage competitions.
Penelope's journey in Australia began in 1988, where she had the privilege of working as a personal polo groom for the renowned Kerry Packer. During this time, as the foremost dressage expert, (that could be found back then in Sydney,) she was also roped into training Roz Packer's dressage horses. With her lifelong love for horses, passion for real estate and a keen interest in architecture and design, Penelope decided to combine her two interests and founded "Horses and Houses," a fitting business name and Instagram handle.
Penelope's horses have become an integral part of her professional ventures. She often lends them for photo shoots, and one of her dressage horses, Eddie, graced the cover of the prestigious December 2022 issue of UK Harper's Bazaar, alongside actress Anya Taylor-Joy.
